“Safety Alert”
Per New York State Department of Transportation fishing and other recreational activities conducted at the Route 531 eastbound detention pond area located just East of Route 259 is strictly prohibited per New York Vehicle and Traffic Law Section 1202(a). Signs will be posted “Emergency Stopping Only” along the 531 eastbound shoulder at this location with “No Trespassing” signs at the pond edge of the water.
